The problem is that there’s a lot of international collaboration. For example, all the vessels providing data on the state of the oceans and the environment are American and they are no longer allowed to share information with any scientists.
I mean it’s not like America has a monopoly on boats.
Those boats have a lot of very expensive equipment and they have years of data that is no longer accessible.
