So they’re taking a shitty tech trend away from the few people who found it useful in order to push the new shitty tech trend.
As always (Orkut, Google+, etc.)
Other than Gmail, I don’t trust Google to keep maintaining any service.
lol the game streaming service. Where people both full priced games and lost access after they closed the service
I will never forgive Fitbit. I had one of their watches some years back that shit the bed about 1 week after the warranty was up. Their customer service suggested I just buy a new watch.
And that I did but it certainly wasn’t a Fitbit.
I’ll never forgive them for killing pebble. That said I now have a new pebble ordered
Never depend on anything Google.
They could have replaced the Google Assistant with their new Gemini thing on these waches (since I think they basically just relay voice to and from the phone). But, being Google, they prefer just to remove features people already paid for.
tech with thier obssesion with AI, especially google trying to get customers on board isnt really what they want

They’re shutting down Assistant everywhere, in favour of Gemini.
Of course they are!
I guess they’ll have to use some of their other spyware
