American demand for tropical wood that is used in motor homes, conservationists say, is accelerating the disappearance of some of the world’s largest forests.

I’ll note that the big source of demand for that land is agriculture, rather than luxury woods, so ending the need for motor fuel (which is in the US is partially made from corn and soy) is probably the top priority.
