Everything is sandboxed but I don’t have all the details. You don’t actively turn any sandbox on or off, it’s always there IIRC.

I’m not trying to convince you but I was paying for everything with my phone, it was the most important feature. After installing GrapheneOS, i got control back and piece of mind, and I dont miss tap to pay.

Tap to pay is not there. But you can install the Play Store and install all your paid applications, that’s what I did.

I installed GrapheneOS for the security and lack of Google. I didn’t know it was a very nice stock Android without any crap. I love it.

It’s not restricted to dumb people though. Most of my non-technical friends embrace it on way or another and they are not stupid in their own fields. It’s scary.

I despise ads, it’s brainwashing and psychological manipulation. No amount is tolerable. I have refused jobs at advertising companies even when I had money problems and needed to eat. If I were working for Google, I would quit.

It would be logical to work less and get our own community. A lot of people work hard all their lives and die soon after retirement. That’s not logical.

We had the same propaganda with books, radio, and TV. Should we ban those things too?

It’s a lot of problems that I would never solve on my own, and both politicians and citizens don’t want to change: social media and AI are destroying humans, shitty parents dont want to take care of their kids, and climate change is destroying the world. It’s inevitable but the smartphone that I use is not responsible.

Smartphones are fine, it’s just a small computer that can make calls and is connected to the internet. You’re using it wrong.

If people can’t control themselves or their kids, it’s not my problem.
