See, believe it or not but as far as we can tell, Signal is just less convenient for large groups and it very much looks like Telegram is worse. But it doesn’t matter: it’s about AI (Grok) being integrated with an environment known for bad data. Grok will interact with bad actors and train on awful data.

I said the central EU is trying - almost literally on a weekly basis - to require companies like Signal and Whatsapp to replace their end-to-end encryption with a backdoored one, and the excuses they throw up every time is “pedophiles” and “terrorists”. I am quite aware Switzerland is trying that as well, hence the announcement by Proton to leave the country if the government keeps hanging on to that dumb idea.

It shouldn’t, you probably have a modern setup. Super high level is that: UEFI is like a mini os on the mainboard, replacing the old bios chips that were very limited, including on partitions on disks: max 2 physical (whereby the 2nd was used to embed “soft” partitions), and any boot code was confined to cramped spaces, below certain amounts of blocks and cylinders etc, hence the peculiar /boot partition. UEFI had to support this of course, but it’s at best like wearing clothes that you accidentally washed at the highest temperature: bleak, way too tight in uncomfortable places and prone to tearing.
