Why would anybody donate and put trust into a very important service that’s ran in an unreliable country?
The rest of the world will probably just take over and leave the US in the dark about useful CVEs that could be used in their cyber ops.

If you look trough the posts, people were slowly claiming it to be musk and he was slowly confirming it.
That could ofcourse be a troll too.
I use Hetzner.
If somebody is looking for a Dutch (or Belgian) hoster, be sure to check the following blog post: https://www.websitegecko.com/hosting-providers-netherlands/
It lists what hosters are part of a bigger hosting company. These big companies can easily have double the price as independent hosters.
It gives Philippine people the ability to edit the translation directly, eventually having their own version of it. As long as the information is correct and it’s only an occasional grammatical error, this is quite a good thing to do.
I have translations in the apps I write, and I just generate an automatic translation for languages I do not speak. If anything is wrong, people will correct it and I’ll end up with a fully correct translation.
It is very common.
Tesla’s use of the term “full self-driving” has changed over the years, but at the time and for years later, CEO Elon Musk claimed that it would mean Tesla owners would eventually receive a software update that would turn their vehicles into “robotaxis” capable of level-4-5 self-driving, which means unsupervised autonomous driving even with no one in the cars.
Almost 10 years later, this has yet to happen and won’t happen soon in most of the cars Tesla has delivered over the last decade.
Well yes, he’s a liar. https://elonmusk.today/
I can already hear them
Kukies justified Germany’s position for not taxing digital services by saying that the EU had not alternatives to US data centres, cloud, and artificial intelligence services.
I think Germany is a great source of experience in how dropping these Big Tech companies would impact everything. It’s not weird for them to be against it because it makes it so European countries and Germany have more time to make the needed changes in tech infrastructure so they can do it themselves too.
Europeans are slow and steady. Minds are most likely already set on dropping US reliance. It just doesn’t need to be pushed right away.
“For some weird reason identity fraud and illegal porn have seen a significant rise.” - France in a little bit
I’ll make Teslas, but good ones, and I’m not a Nazi.
Food from the USA is not up to European standards. It’s that simple.
Just look at how long it took to ban Red Dye #3. Banned almost completely in Europe in 1994, while in the US it’s legal until 2027.
There’s too many stupid parents.
I read that a lot of people just buy 1 month every few months to get updates.
Social media apps should not be E2E encrypted, especially under the age of 18. Chat apps on the other hand should be completely E2E encrypted. We need to have a good balance between safety and privacy, and this is the only decent way.
Stupid people argue for backdoors and stupid people argue for full encryption. It’s the correct balance that’s far more important and will make everybody happy.
Dystopian.
Also:
Why don’t we use “shatters world record” like the pro-China articles where they did this for 16 minutes?
I know why.
My apps default to the system language and use English as a fallback. If I implement multiple translations users can change it in their settings.
Anyways, like many other open source developers, I work for free and am open to PRs.
